What is CBT?

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) helps people learn how to identify and change destructive or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on behavior and emotions.

What is MBCT?

Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) combines cognitive behavioral techniques with mindfulness strategies in order to help individuals better understand and manage their thoughts and emotions in order to achieve relief from feelings of distress.

In this therapy approach, people can learn how to use cognitive methods and mindfulness meditation to interrupt the automatic processes.
